Hi, I'm Matt Hill, an applications developer living in Sacramento, CA, with my wife and two children. I am currently on the Dev Team at Clear Capital, a quickly growing mortgage and valuation solutions company based in Truckee, CA. As fascinated as I am with technology and the solutions it can provide, I also recently began to take an avid interest in the older ways of living, what many people refer to as homesteading. I'm still in the city (well, suburbs anyway), but I butcher my own meat, have started to experiment with growing my own food in different ways, and do what an urban guy can to cultivate a greater sense of social and familial self-reliance.
